Robert Altman Had A Heart Transplant?

Can anyone confirm that the director Robert Altman had a heart transplant ten years ago, as he mentioned during his Oscars speech?

    I'm extremely skeptical. How do you "hide" a heart transplant, especially if you are a public figure?
